Biography

Angela is an orchestral and chamber musician and a frequent soloist. In 2019 she has played many concerts with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, The Orchestra Now, the Hartford Symphony, Orchestra Moderne NYC, and the Harlem Chamber Players. During the 2017-2018 season she performed with NJSO, TON, the HSO, the Reading Symphony and at the Bard Music Festival. Angela performed on Broadway at Fiddler on the Roof and has recently played with the American Symphony Orchestra, Vermont Symphony and the American Ballet Theater. Angela played the Haydn Concerto with the Bronx Arts Ensemble and was heard in the recorded incidental music of the hit Broadway production of "War Horse" at Lincoln Center Theater. She has played with the New World Symphony in Miami as well as Dicapo Opera in NY. She has given several recitals in the past few years at the Little Church Around the Corner (Manhattan) and St. Ann's Church (Brooklyn) with organists Stephen Tharp and Claudia Dumschat. Angela has performed with Gramercy Brass Orchestra of New York (and can be heard on their just-released recording of the music of Dave & Chris Brubeck), and has been a featured soloist on the Sacred Hearts and St. Stephen’s (Brooklyn) concert series. Since 2008 her Arcadia Brass Quintet has given a series of annual Christmas season concerts and a summer 2012 concert on Fishers Island. She's played Bach’s Cantata 51 with Sinfonia Celestis in Staten Island and Pelham and Cantata 77 with the Westchester Chorale. Angela has performed with the New England Symphonic Ensemble at Carnegie Hall and played Mahler’s 2nd Symphony with the AAC orchestra in the General Assembly of the United Nations. Angela has been a featured soloist at churches all around New York playing for special occasions, holidays and weddings. She is a founding member of the Arcadia Brass Quintet that has given recitals and parks concerts as well as playing for the Park Avenue Christmas Tree lighting. Angela has played chamber music on several concert series including Cathedral of St. John the Divine where she performed Eric Ewazen’s Quintet for Trumpet and Strings.
Angela received her Master’s Degree from the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with Chris Gekker. She studied with Tim Morrison and got her Bachelor’s from New England Conservatory of Music.
